Maru Floorings newest innovative product is our high quality Interlocking Decking. This decking utilizes the most durable and exotic solid woods made to withstand Hawaii’s harsh elements. The Interlocking Decking mounts the solid wood to a heavy duty polypropylene base. The individual decking grids can be interlocked at the base on all four sides. Customers can choose their own patterns or borders with ease. This type of decking makes installing a deck as easy as Legos. The Interlocking Decking also saves the homeowner half the price of installing a regular wood deck since the homeowner does not have to incur the high installation costs. Interlocking decking can be installed by the homeowner or they can pay a contractor a fraction of the traditional cost to install interlocking vs. traditional decking. The decking comes in a variety of patterns and sizes, allowing the customer to build their own custom deck. One of our goals is to take the necessary steps to help preserve the rainforest. This is why both of of our Interlocking Decking products come from sustainable and managed forest.

Maru Flooring has exclusive rights to distribution for the Venteak Decking product line in all of Hawaii. Venteak Decking is milled and manufactured in Venezuela. This product is plantation grown and managed from seedling all the way to harvest. Venteak Decking uses solid teak for their decking tiles. Teak is a superior weather-resistant wood, and it has been used for decks and boats for centuries.  This decking is slip, splinter and mold resistant. Venteak Decking comes in two sizes: 11”x11” and 22”x22”, in either straight or diagonal pattern. The decking comes unfinished out of the box. The home owner can either use an oil or water based finish on the deck or just keep it natural with no finish. This is up to the discretion of the home owner. If a finish is added, simply brush and wash with water and apply a good quality wood-oil once or twice a year. Venteak Decking products are locally stocked in Hawaii and are available today!
